They Take Dice Seriously In Vegas

Okay, who loves to use dice in their classroom? The vendors at I Teach K were selling all kinds of dice and I went a little crazy over the possibilities and my friend Val was not helping as she piled more into my basket!
Now what to do with them? Well here is one idea.

So a student rolls the die with the colored dot and another one with dots (1-6) and the child finds the matching numeral and makes it the color of the dot on the die. Easy-right?  I need easy.

Oooohhhh....what fun! I have never seen the ones that spin like a top! I'm sure you'll find many uses for them!

Okay, so I am going to make some similar sheets to use with your wonderful dice activity. I am not sure which program would work best? I would like to make a template and drop in different pictures so I can change based on season/theme, what program do you suggest? What program do you use?

Thanks,
Pat I

I love dice. There are so many fun games and things to do with dice. I have never seen those colored dot ones. I bet you did have your basket filled!!

I asked one of the vendors if they had dice with the color words on them (like they did with the number words). She said she did...at home. I took one of their fliers, but then in my state of suitcase-way-too-full-never-going-to-fit-it-all-in, I think I tossed it :(. It was just a piece of xerox paper---any chance you have one?

I will look up the name but I am not too sure I still have it. I just paid in cash and I am not the best at finding receipts.
Sorry!

I, too, went a little nuts in that booth and bought not only a HUGE bag of dice for myself, but for the other girls on my team who couldn't make the conference! I found the flier from that booth and the website is www.connieseducational.com and their toll free # is (866) 624-9160. Their prices were VERY reasonable and they had tons of great stuff.

Hi Fran,

Thank you so much for making such wonderful activities! I just purchased your Pete The Cat Unit at TPT and was hoping this worksheet was included. Can we download it here on your blog or will you be adding it to your TPT store? Thanks!

I bought the spinning dice at the Dollar Tree also. The children love them. Good luck...If your town does not have a Dollar Tree, you can go on line to find them.. www.dollartree.com I believe is the website..
