I'm not so sure this looks like pony beads and a pipe cleaner but I think the kids will get the point. This is an addition recording sheet so I have some evidence that my students did some work while I am working with a small group. They can color the beads and fill in the numbers. Let's see how this goes.

Hi! I am going to try this in my pre-k room! I am confident that the students can make "counting sticks"! Do you know where I can get a copy of your recording sheet for future use! I love it! Thanks!
I saw where you are going to be a presenter on Tracher's Notebook virtual expo. I was wondering how that works. Will participates have to watch on a certain date and time or will it be up and available for a window? Thanks!
LOL- I thought it was a skewer with marshmallows. We done the pipe cleaners with with colored beads it is good practice plus helps with fine motor skills
I will try to get the recording sheet out after the expo!
This is "brilliant" Fran! I can't wait to make some with my little transportation shaped beads! I have some "too cute" beads from Oriental Trading that are just doing nothing in a box...this will be a big something! Thank you for the inspiration!

I just made these bracelets too! Thank you for sharing your great ideas!
Taking in so much today. Accidently came upon this whole blog community and now I'm wondering how to sort it all out. Love your stuff. Do you have any suggestions for a first time blogger and how to navigate this crazy wonderful world?
I like your recording sheet. This is actually something I have and could use. Thanks!
I love this...I am going to make these this week...and I am going to challenge my higher level kiddo's with more pony beads...smiles :)
