The Final Chapter of Sin City

Here are my final pictures that you have already seen on other sites but just in case... Meanwhile, Cindy is not in these and I am so upset because she is a great teacher and blogger. We had lunch together and I loved being with her.  Her blog is For the Love of Kindergarten and sweet Michelle from Apples and ABC's.

Okay I am married to a man who takes huge pride in his wife's small achievements and thinks I am the best thing since peanut butter. So, he took all these pictures and a million more but I cannot bear to put them up. Check out the picture where I am presenting and look at the lady standing. I think she wanted to bolt out of the room but I am sure my husband blocked her at the door. I am not even kidding. If you attended my session I cannot thank you enough for supporting me. It meant so much to me. My friend Meredith came from my district, Kim and Megan from Kindergals, Crystal from Kreative in Kinder, Michelle from Apples and ABC's, my friend Valentina with her whole kinder team , and I was too nervous to notice anyone else-sorry. Michelle even brought me coffee to keep me calm and I love her for trying to keep me glued together. I woke up with a killer headache and could not believe how anxious I was. I woke the hubs up so I wouldn't have to suffer alone. We set the room up by 7:00, the Tech Guy from SDE came to make adjustments, and the hubs undid his work and did it his way. Gotta love the man's confidence. I thought I was going to die. Then I assumed no one was going to come at this ridiculous hour but much to my surprise ... some people came in. The hubs was pumped with pride!
I babbled on and on and paced it all wrong. There was no clock in the room and I never finished the slides. It was pretty embarrassing so I jammed through to get to the end. Sorry you guys. If there is ever a next time I will try not to run out of time. Thank goodness I survived!

I love reading all the stories about the conference and seeing the wonderful pictures. Thanks for sharing! I seriously hope to be able to attend the next one. I'm positive it is an invaluable experience, but, for now, I'll just have to be satisfied with everyone's pictures and commentary.

Fran, I didn't get to come because I had to do one of the 5 minute shares at the sde booth. But, I heard a lot of people say that you were AWESOME! :)

Fran, you're session was great. I learned quite a bit. I looked at my sidebar and realized I haven't written anything about myself and I've been blogging for over a year! Plus I really need to update my blogroll and fix some other things you talked about. I enjoyed it and the time went by too fast!

Hi Fran! It was so great hanging out with you in Vegas! You are one smart, passionate and entertaining lady and I am always impressed with you. Great job on your workshop and I am proud of you for doing it because I know it makes you very anxious. I was so glad that I could be there to support you and listen to your fun stories! Thanks for mentioning me in your post and I will get some pics up on my blog soon! I hope your training is going well this week! Hugs, Cindy

Thank you for sharing about your marvelous week with all of us! I loved your honesty about nerves and pacing! It really is one thing to have an audience of five-year-olds, but it's a whole new ballgame to have grown-ups who teach staring at you from an enormous room! I am so enjoying reading about your adventure at IteachK.
Cyber hugs and best wishes!

Wow! What an awesome experience and an awesome husband you have. I could see my husband being the same way. I wish I could have been there to see you. I'm sure you rocked it like Pete in your presentation shoes.

This is why I blog. Thanks for pumping me up. I will never forget this conference and all the wonderful friends I met. It was such an amazing time. I hope some of you present next year because you have so much to offer kinder teachers who are struggling and need support. Think about it! Now I didn't say it wasn't a bit unnerving but...

Fabulous Fran!
What a delight it was to finally meet you. Your sincere enthusiasm is completely contagious! We enjoyed all you had to share about where you've been in K and where you are going with Common Core. Thank you! The wisdom you share so graciously is Professional Development at it's best.

Michelle,
Do not encourage my potty mouth. I don't know what my problem is. I seriously cannot control my reaction to certain situations... I wish people would just be real sometimes. Is it just me that is always in crisis and falling apart? I think maybe-yes!
Love you kiddo
We are doing lunch when I get back before the summer slides by-right?
I need to have Kristin and Hadar too! Are you in?

I will never forget that Val came to Vegas (wait is that a movie) and sat in my session. It was fantastic to meet all of you. You are totally my new BFFs. You guys are amazing people who love my Val. She is the best kinder friend in the world.

I love reading about the conference, so wish I could have gone! Several years ago I presented at the National Council of Teachers of English. I can totally relate to how you were feeling. Before my presentation, Katie Wood-Ray sat at my table for breakfast, I about fainted. I thought to myself, what am I doing presenting at a conference where she is presenting? I was so darn nervous! I know you were great!!! Next year for sure, I will be at the conference!

Fran I'm sure you were amazing. I was engaged just sitting next to you at the boggy meet up in April ( I was the one that got lost and showed up like 2 hours late ). Love your supportive husband. (( hugs ))
