In my room we made a thanksgiving song book:

This is from my Turkey Leftovers packet. We practiced the song in the pocket chart for several days and today I let them make the little book version that  they can take home for the holidays. I did this whole group and they did really well with this. They hummed the song to help figure out what to cut and paste to match the text. It was so cute. I don't think I want to hear this song again for a really, really long time! I love when a book is simple for them and they feel super successful.

We made your book today too Fran!
The kids and I have been singing it in the pocket chart this week and they cut. pasted and colored today. They had fun and worked independently while my parent volunteer called them over to help mix our pumpkin muffins!
Thanks for the great book!

I did take a couple of pics. It was so busy that I didn't get many. Should I post them on my blog with link to yours?

Way to go, Fran! I saw the pumpkin plant growing in a pumpkin shell on another blog last night, and planted my remaining pumpkin today with my class! I can't wait to see how it has sprouted when we go back after the holiday!

Hey Fran! Congratulations to you and all the hard working teachers at your school. I see the OC Register ranked your school no. 3 in their article on OC best elementary schools. Way to go!!
