The dog ate my homework!

This book will have your kids screaming with laughter if homework is a part of your daily routine. Brace yourself if you have never read it. What happens when your dog really eats your homework because you dropped peanut butter and jelly on it. What happens when your mom washes your jeans and your homework is in the pocket? What happens when your little sister takes your backpack to preschool by mistake? Martin finds out that the substitute teacher does not put up with any of his excuses and he has to suffer the consequences of not having his work at school. This is the perfect book to use when introducing homework expectations to your class. It is such a great read! Hurry and buy it. You will never regret it! I promise.

I have never heard of this book before. It sounds like a great book. Our dog ate our daughter's retainer a couple of weeks ago and I thought how believable is this story going to be to a dentist. I told our dentist that this sounds like a story one of my kids might say in my classroom. They all were dying of laughter in the dentist office. Thanks for sharing!

This is the book I picked up for my Christmas in July book exchange. I picked it up and couldn't put it down, because I thought it was so cute. I did have problems coming up with activities for it, but it was too good to pass up. I hope the person I sent it to thinks it is as cute as I did!

Well I waited until you finished packet #2 before I bought the set.
Tonight I bought both and have had fun looking through them and dreaming about how I would use them to enrich my lessons.
Thanks for your dedication to teachers. I love both packets!!

Hi Fran!
Thanks for the info about the book. I can't wait to get it! By the way, thanks so much for the wonderful sight word packets onTPT! I hope you continue to publish items for sell especially think about selling the 'bubble maps " you have shown us!!
What homework do you send home with your kindergartners? If you could post the ideas, that would be fantastic!
Have a great day!

Thanks,
Maryann

Hi Fran,

I love your blog! I was wondering what kind of program you use to create your worksheets. I make almost all my own worksheets because I can customize them to my student's needs. I use Word on my Mac but I KNOW there must be an easier way to manipulate my clip art, create boxes etc. Any ideas would be great, thank you so much!

Fran, STOP suggesting books- The neighbors are going to think I've got something going on with the mailman. Everyday he is dropping off packages.

Dear Fran,
You must stop recommending all these wonderful books! Barnes and Nobles loves me, but my checking account is protesting!! LOL. I went and got Peanut Butter and Sandwiches last night. Love it!! My babies will be coming for their first day tomorrow and I have lots of wonderful books to share with Them. Thank you so much,
Linda

Thank you so much for this wonderful recommendation for my book. I found it on Pinterest and was so happy when I read it! I am thrilled you love Martin MacGregor and his antics. There is another Martin MacGregor book called Martin MacGregor's Snowman that is out of print but you can find it used on Amazon! Thanks again- I am also a second grade teacher!
