Did you buy a million little pocket charts in the Target Dollar Spot? I have been purchasing them for several years now and I love using them for a variety of purposes. Our kids love to play "teacher" and this provides an opportunity to do just that. I create "mini" sentence strips for them to build sentences that we have practiced whole group. They can read these with a pointer (bet you bought those too) to a partner in a soft voice. This also goes with other pieces in the big packet I have on TpT. I love how this teaches them concepts of print and ending a sentence with a period. I will be posting other ideas for those mini pocket charts soon because I love them so much. Don't you? Here is a free download of this activity.Click here and check out the other freebies!

I've bought so many but I have no idea how to use them. I'm excited to hear your ideas!
I plan to use mine to build words... If I get enough charts for whole group otherwise in center.
THANK YOU!! I love the mini pocket charts. Can't wait for more ideas to use with it!
What a blessing! Thank you!
Fran, I am so jealous of your pocket chart find. :) Did you find them this year? I live in TN, and our local Target just put out all the $1 teacher items at the beginning of this week. I'm still hoping to find them before school starts on July 27th. YIKES!
I just got back from Target and bought 15 pocket charts! I am so excited. I am going to make sentences today and start printing away.
Pat I.
Love it! Thanks Fran!

I am so glad you like this. They are super cute but I need to make better use of them. So now I am going to use my brain and try to come up with lots of ideas!
Thank you! These are perfect for a recent chapter in our Literacy Beginnings Blog Book Study: http://www.growinginprek.com/apps/blog/show/7679778-literacy-beginnings-chapter-twelve
