Flipping Over Shapes




My kids come with limited school experiences and often need more work with shapes. This can be done through patterning, sorting, and literature. Here is a flip book I made to help them practice cutting and pasting shapes they might see in the real world. The graphics are by DJInkers and can be purchased at their site. Here is a copy for you and let me know how your students like it.Click here for the download and I hope it helps your students.

    Thanks Fran! My darlings this year have VERY limited experience. It has been awhile since I have had a group that needs this much help on a few of the things I take for granted (i.e. pencil holding, scissor use, etc..and colors and shapes) So, thanks for sharing this. It will come in handy!

    This is great to use for my kinder kids for a review. We also include the shapes rhombus(diamond) and elipse(oval). Love your stuff!!

    Random question....didn't you post color cards on your blog not too long ago? You had the color word on one card and a color on the other for students to match? Am I dreaming this...I got them from somewhere and would bet I got them from YOU! Where might I find those on your site, if so?! :)

    Just found your blog and I love it! Thank you. I have a technical question. When I print out the shape flip book the "name_____" part does not print. Neither does the little note on the 3rd page. Do I need to download a special font? Thanks.

    Thanks. Great for a review basic shapes and a useful scissors activity for my preschoolers. The word above the shape is perfect for reinforcing that letters together make a word.

    Hi Fran,
    I am a HUGE fan of your blog and I am always blown away by your incredible generosity. I have a question regarding DJ Inkers. Because of all of the wonderful things that you create using their things, I have begun to use them a lot. I have purchased A LOT of their animal sets and they are so adorable. I am being observed on Monday and am currently trying to make a shapes lesson and want to know which set the graphics came from for these shapes and solid objects in the shapes flip book???? I have searched the DJ inkers site and can't seem to figure it out so I thought I would ask you. Thanks a million for all of your work that you share and sell, it is so appreciated!
