Kindergarten Count Down...10,9.8

School is around the corner now and I am busy making homework folders and name tags so the reality is beginning to sink in. How about you? I am still working on my room (oh dear) and am hoping to put all the stuff away. So here is what I am thinking... We all get a little anxious about starting all over with the new kinders and we need some fresh things to boost our confidence, right? So I want to offer up some fun freebies to brighten your day. If you have someone new to kindergarten run some things off from this blog, put it in a fancy bag with a ribbon, and have it ready for the first day! Let's all pay it forward as we approach our new year of teaching.
I am offering the little strip book of patterns.

Grab it, use it, and enjoy it. Have a happy year with lots of learning! Click here to print this little book.
Leave a comment if you want and check out my TpT store if you need some fun stuff to open up the year!

  20. Thanks for another really good idea. Our first day with children was today! They were supposed to stagger--10 today and 10 tomorrow; but I had 7 today which means I will have 13 tomorrow! Everyone will be here on Friday and then the weekend! Yeah!

  29. Thanks for the inspiration! I need it, I can't believe we go back next Thursday, ugh. I am so excited to start the year with a new group of kiddos but I just didn't get caught up on all the things I wanted to do this summer.

I hope your year gets off to a great start!

  33. Hi Fran,
You are my new BFF (even though we have never met). Your ideas and your willingness to share are above and beyond wonderful. I saw your idea of using beans glued to tongue depressors and loved it. Do you have the workmats on your TpT? or the worksheet? I can so see using this in my classroom. Finally, the font letters you used to sign your name with the little faces and feet are way too cute. Would you share the source?

  35. Hi Terry,
It is from DJInkers naturally! It is cute. The mat is someone on my site because I posted it as a freebie. See if you can find it. Where are you in California? You can be my BFF! I would love it!

Just thought I'd let you know that I put a link to your blog on my latest post. My blog is only teeny-tiny (and barely a month old), but just thought you'd want to know! :)

  37. Thank you so much Fran! We went from a half day program to all day every day and we have 3 new teachers who sometimes have the deer in the headlights look. I will run these pattern pages for them as a good beginning! I am also sharing The Math Work Stations book! Have a great year,

  41. I love these little pattern books. I actually took the blank one "My Book of Patterns" and created apple strips to go into it to make apple patterns for September. I was thinking of doing a different shape for each month. Would it be allright with you if I posted these strips on my blog each month with a link back to your post so people can grab the books?

Thanks for asking but I want to do this for my followers and do not want my content on another blog. This material is under copyright. I appreciate you asking and being respectful.
