Spinner games make learning sight words a lot more fun. When my students play these games I want them to read the word and put it in a sentence. I need lots of BANG for my buck! Partner games can be a big hit in the classroom. This is great for first graders at the beginning of the year too!
Now for the younger set of doodles:
Fran,
ReplyDeleteI REALLY like that there are two "levels" so to speak. The "Younger set of Doodles" is a great idea!
Love this!!
ReplyDeleteHey Cindy,
ReplyDeleteDifferentiation is the new buzz. Teachers have been doing this since the beginning of time - right?
Fran,
ReplyDeleteYep...we've always done it.We used to do a lot of extra cutting and pasting..... now they just gave it a nice name! ;-)
Love this! Would you ever consider posting a blank set so we could add our own words? I would love to use this as a center with my first grade kiddos!
ReplyDeleteIs it terrible that I'm checking your blog every hour? Anxiously waiting for the release of your sight word packet!
ReplyDeleteYou are really getting us excited for the sight word packet! I love the spinner games! I would also like a blank one so we can add words or letters. My younger Doodles might need to start with letters! Thanks for all of the hard work you are putting into this packet. I know we will love it!
ReplyDeleteI am also checking every day to see if you are done -- I love your things and so do my kids! I am so happy you are sharing, and so happy you are enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for this packet! I love the idea of spinner games. Are these games reusable? Is there a board and a recording sheet?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the spinner game ideas. I would love to make some games just like yours. Will you be selling those games on your site? Thanks, Diedra
ReplyDeleteThe spinner games will be in the sight word packet and then I am making a separate packet with lots of versions to use. Each child gets his own paper and uses a paper clip and brad. You can recycle them if you want. My partner does!
ReplyDeleteSo yes I am selling these on TpT!
Fran,
ReplyDeleteWhen you done with your sight word packet, please check out my post about my Dollar Tree find. Since we both are in love with the same cat, I thought you would enjoy my finds.

Everytime my phone alerts me to new e-mail, I look to see if your packet is done and posted. This is like waiting for a birth announcement. You are awesome. Thank you again for your ideas and ability to create wonderful things for our students to use.
ReplyDeleteThis is getting so cruel:-) I get excited every time I see that there is an update on your blog in my emails. I just wait to see that the packet is posted. I can tell it will be well worth the wait, but the teases are just so hard!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your hard work and the glimpses into what we will finally get. I guess one great benefit of waiting is that you are continuing to create:-)
I can't wait to buy them on TPT!!! You are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea!!! I am new to tpt and wonder if the words are changeable to correspond with our sight word lists and how we introduce them. Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteI love you blog! Please come visit my new blog! http://buggyaboutlearninginkindergarten.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! OK...so i LIED!!! I am back checking in on things!
ReplyDeleteI like the analogy to us all waiting for a baby to be born! LOL!!! Just a testament to how much we love your work Fran! ;-)
Brilliant! I think that is the word I use most often when I visit your site! You're amazing, and very generous! LOVE these!!!
