Who knew the kids would love this activity? I think it is so darn cute. We used colored stamp pads and the kids used their finger to make the center of each flower. Then I had them use a black marker to make the pedals of the flowers. We added stems and leaves to this. Each student had his own math fact to draw so it was easy to differentiate. This was fun for them and I used washable stamp pads so clean-up was simple. I had to get in on the fun and make one too! Sorry. I just needed to confess...

Love it! After seeing your original post, I made something similar for my kinders to use during Work Stations. Yesterday we used it and the kids LOVED it. One of my little girls almost cried when she had to come to reading group b/c she wanted to make her flower book. They really liked using the stamp pads! My distict is big on using samples of effective feedback. I used my smart board to show my kindergarteners your celery experiment to help them draw.
ReplyDeleteOn the bubble map, my morning class tried to write our own words, but my pm class cut the words. We did come up with 3 other words.... yummy, wet and healthy. Thank you for a GREAT EXperiment!
